The Preceptor Kappa Chapter met at Jane Foster's home for a stress program led by Robbie Alexander. Voting for the chapter queen occurred during the gathering, with results to be announced at the %th annual Valentine Ball at the Fermata Club.
Second Lt. Grover M. Gossett son of Mr and Mrs Grover Gossett of Aiken earned silver wings after graduating navigator training at Mather AFB California. He will stay at Mather for further training. His wife Cynthia Lawless is from Aiken and his 1978 USC Aiken degree is noted.
The American Association of University Women Aiken Branch will host a program titled A Money Talks Surprise at First Presbyterian Church in Aiken. An optional covered dish dinner starts at 6 30 p m adding a social lead in to the event.
Earnest Blitchington and Brenda Blitchington wed at Millbrook Baptist Church Aiken with Rev. James Rivers presiding. The bride, daughter of Charles and Violet Snyder, and groom, son of Ida Lee Darnell and Frank Earnest, will reside in Bath after a reception at the church.
Gail Elizabeth Johnston and Leon Lamar Boylston III married at St. John’s United Methodist Church in Aiken. The bride, daughter of Harry and Betty Johnston, and the groom, son of Leon and Mrs. Boylston Jr., plan to reside in Aiken after a North Carolina honeymoon trip. The bride graduated USC in 1979 and works for the Aiken County School District. the groom, a 1977 Erskine College graduate, works for Holley Fuel.
