Ninety six grade students volunteer for a total lipid profile and a three minute step test as part of a Healthier Schools program. A follow up screening and end of program surveys will gauge changes in health behaviors. Goals include more fruits, better choices, 150 minutes weekly activity, less fats, and reduced screen time. Superintendent Randy Davis spoke at the kickoff.
The Marshall Women’s Philanthropic Circle meets Monday September 17 at 5:30 pm at Schuler’s Restaurant. The group, open to interested women, gathers quarterly to support a local non profit and share resources. Dinner is $15.50 with a cash bar. RSVP via Cindy Lake at 269 781 1232.
