Marshall Historic Landmark District Celebrates 20th Anniversary
Marshall marks 20th anniversary of its National Park Service designated Historic Landmark District. The district extends from Plum Street to 650 North Kalamazoo and from Forest Street to Lincoln Street, highlighting Federalist and Queen Anne architecture. Local leaders credit landmark status for town prestige and economic impact, noting few Michigan districts are architecturally based and nationwide only about 200 districts exist.
