18YearOld Charged In Sexual Assault Of 14YearOld
An 18-year-old male faced arraignment in Calhoun County District Court on two counts of criminal sexual conduct in the third degree after a June 27 incident at Ketchum Park near Warren Street in Marshall. Police say the victim, a 14-year-old, was approached near the Skate Park, propositioned, followed, restrained, and assaulted.

Park assault leads to suspect arrest in Calhoun County

Deer cause motorcycle crash in Sheridan Township
On June 26 at about 7 45 p m deputy investigators from the Calhoun County Sheriff s Office responded to a personal injury crash on Division Drive near Finley Drive in Sheridan Township. Randy Joseph Herman 63 of Marshall and Denise Marie Herman 53 of Marshall were thrown from the motorcycle after striking a deer. Denise Herman sustained minor injuries at the scene. Randy Herman was transported to Bronson Hospital by Albion Community Ambulance with serious injuries.

Semi Trailer Overturns on I-94 I-69 Ramp Collision Near Marshall
An 18 wheeler overturned on the eastbound I-94 to northbound I-69 ramp near Marshall. The ramp remained closed for over six hours after a 2 p.m. report. The driver was extracted from the cab. condition was not known at press time. Photos by John Hendler.
