Lambs Shipped to Chicago Market by Coffin and Vessey & McRae
Coffin Bros. shipped a trainload of lambs to Chicago on Thursday and Vessey & McRae sent a Sunday shipment to the same market. Expect about six cents per pound as the market remains dull. Wethers bring $1.50 per hundred less than two weeks ago. Only three wool lots exist in the county: McAllister 240 sacks, Sanford 100 sacks, Coffin Bros. 700 sacks. Coffin Bros. head for Cle Elum to deliver 5,000 yearling lambs to Carston Bros. of Seattle at $3 per head.
