Friday report from M Parri shay acting salesman for Wooster Shale Brick Co states a 1 000 000 brick paving contract with Cleveland is secured. Bricks 3L inch by 8x5 and weighing 13 pounds each passed a stringent city test after initial doubts. Test overseen by city authorities amid bias against Wooster pavers from some testers.
The Wooster Sliding Biicd Company is heavily engaged in orders for goods to be shipped nationwide. The firm produces items not excelled elsewhere, reflecting strong demand and the city’s prosperity. B Barretts Sons machine shop and foundry report business at its best in years, with reliable, quality work supporting Wooster’s manufacturing strength.

He notes purchase via Geo J Krieger Wooster Ohio and mentions availability from druggists by the box.
The Wooster Township Sabbath School convention at Ke fortred church featured the theme How to increase attendance with Rev J Rosa and Mrs Boyd delivering papers. Teachers and officers debated methods to improve promptness attention and teaching, with plans for an August 6 meeting and quarterly conventions set for November February and May.

Mr Joss Chaffin of Dalton Wayne county Ohio spent Monday and Tuesday in New Philadelphia visiting his daughter Mrs Osgood. He met his cousin and schoolmate N B Pratt for the first time in 41 years. They born East Union township, played marbles and teased patch melons as lively boys. Pratt hosted dinner, then offered a carriage ride around town, reviving memories and yielding a joyous, lasting impression.
Edward Glasgow a former story student won first place at the Demorest contest in Madisonburg with HORT Lehman a current student taking second. Officials praised the event noting close grading and a strong showing throughout the competition.
The Farmers Jubilee Day committee in Wooster held its weekly meeting in the County Prosecutor’s office. Prof C E Thorne presided as the General Committee reported progress on music engagements with Akron’s 8th Regiment Band and the Wooster Band for June 2. The jury found the defendant guilty of burglary in the Perry Katow case, Wooster, on December 13 1894.
