A misread 19th century style advertisement touts No-To-Bac as a remedy to quit tobacco and restore vigor. Claims include ten pounds in ten days, magnetic strength, and a guaranteed cure with a one dollar price. Sample mail offers and drugstore mention appear amid garbled text.
Citizens’ meeting endorses H B Camp’s Wooster to Beach City railway proposal. Committee formed to secure 10 miles of right of way and subscriptions, with Camp ready to start once land rights are granted. Road aims to connect Wooster with Beach City and coal traffic, boosting local growth and industry.
A March 25 1497 Wooster Ohio appeal urges Wooster Applecreek and nearby areas to back a 10 mile railroad right of way with gifts of land and cash. The Citizens Railroad Committee led by John C McClarran touts Mr Camp's plan to fund and manage the line, stressing immediate action to avoid losing the opportunity and promising transparent accounting and refunds if funds exceed needs.
The Wooster bending works, led by W H H and Orra Shbley, expands from cramped spaces to the old Universal Plow Works. The firm, known for wagon and buggy rims, plans to produce varied bent work and will operate from the third floor, with stock already filling the space as remodeling continues.
The Travelers' Club met March 16 with Mrs. G W Ryall and Mrs W F Miller presenting Catalonia Balearic Islands and Sara gossa topics. Mrs Jacob Frick read from Castilian Daye by John Hay, then a piano solo by Miss Flanore Blobber. W A Boutson planned a talk on The Haggues but Mrs Har provided a short talk on language customs and manners of these peoria. A future meeting is set for March 30 with Mrs W F Miller. A wreck on the Toledo Wat honding & Onto Railway near Greerville Knox County caused derailments but no serious injuries.
