A Wayne County assembly formed the Wayne County Soldiers and Sailors Association to hold annual reunions for the "Boys of 61" and friends. J M McKee of West Salem led the drive, Wooster was named for the first reunion on August 6, 1897, with officers elected and a 24 cent annual dues.

A second shipment fails to elicit reply, envelope stamped fraudulent. Postmaster explains government blocks delivery to Unger & Co. Moral urging for local trade and home merchants.
A St Patrick's Day social in QAK hall hosted by the Post and Relief Corps drew a larger crowd than expected. The program featured performances by local youths, wedding cake served after, and guests included Mr and Mrs Wo, Staechenich, who hosted a subsequent gathering. Numerous estate matters appear with hearings set for April 2 including second and final accounts for David Naftzger administrator of Elizabeth Biddle and Chae MecCormian guardian of Clement Rekroad. Real estate sales and appraisals are ordered, and several inventories noted with hearings later in May or March 27. An advertised remedy claims to radically cure rheumatism and neuralgia in 1 to 3 days. It asserts it removes the cause and eliminates the disease immediately after the first dose. Priced at 75 cents, sold by Laubach & Boyd and Geo. J. Kretger at the public building in Wooster.
Wooster Ohio water board presents the annual report through supt James Glass. It covers receipts against expenses, improvements to mains hydrants and taps, and system extensions. The document notes pipe work at Applecreek pumping, new stack at Spink Street, and overall testing of water supply vs demand with emphasis on reliability and public safety.

He states the medicine cured him in three weeks and endorses it for others. The letter also mentions a separate testimonial about Dr. Thomas' Eclectric Oil for severe injuries.
An old advertisement touts No-To-Bac as a tobacco quit aid promising life change and weight gain. It claims the product cures tobacco use, offers a booklet and samples, and lists Sterling Remedy Co as the maker with Chicago or Newark offices.
Identified by 18 local witnesses, four men including Sandy Cop Pard, Harry Fink, Herry Straitz, and Elias Arden were bound over to await grand jury action after waiving examination in the Applecreek burglary and grand larceny case. Judge Jeffries set bonds at 2900 dollars each as prosecutor R W Funcks presented a long witness list from Cross Keys and Applecreek.

A Havana dispatch reports Sylvester Scovel, NY World correspondent released from Sancti Spiritus prison, accompanied by an AP correspondent to meet Marquis Balmerola, secretary of the general government, seeking courtesy and release. The Marquis expressed satisfaction with a message from Scovel’s parents and indicated he could return to Cuba as correspondent.
