Light Planes Collide Over Port Killing 3 in Detroit
Three men died and a fourth was seriously injured when two light planes collided near Detroit City airport. Donald Baer 26 was thrown from his Cub plane as it crashed through a porch. Robert Heels 25 the Detroit flying instructor and Joseph McKevitz 56 owner of the BT 13 also died. Ralph Hanneman 27 survived with serious internal injuries after blacking out during the crash.
