Garden Valley News Briefs Close to Homestead and Farewell Events
W K Kershaw completed final proof on his Garden Valley homestead last Tuesday. Arthur of the Reclamation Service visited friends here last Sunday. Henry Helgeson spent Sunday with O C Ekeberg, who moved a house from the Goff farm to remodel as part of his residence. Doris Francis left for the deaf school at Devils Lake and Ernest Francis left for the university at Grand Forks. A Friday gathering at Don Rutledge’s home drove to Kershaw’s claim for a farewell party at Rudolph Rieder’s with games and late refreshments. Nels Lundell plans a potato digging bee next Saturday afternoon with young ladies expected to help and a six o’clock dinner.
