Burke and Fige Are Elected in North Dakota Returns
Chairman L B Hanna of the Republican state central committee spoke at Fargo detailing early returns from the state election. He predicted the Republican ticket would win except for Sarles and Knaut with Sarles about 2000 votes and Knaut about 6000 votes down. Burke carried most valley counties and border counties. Sarles won one valley county Cass but lost his home county Trail. Williams County shows slow returns with about 200 vote Republican edge expected after six precincts tally by week’s end.
