Strike at St. Cloud granite mills halves work force

In St. Cloud Minnesota on May 4 a four dozen or more granite mills shut down as a strike leaves over 300 workers idle. Sixty polishers seek raises to 2.75 after three years, while seventy five quarry men demand 2.25. Two hundred granite cutters join sympathetic action but return to work when no orders exist.
