Ettie Zimmerman spent Sunday evening with Mrs. Lowe. Zimmerman and son Raymon were in Williston Saturday. Carl Shanks traveled to Williston to see a doctor for blood poisoning in his hand. The river is breaking up and water covers ice.

Olaf A. Ames In Detention After Liquor Discovery

Olaf A. Ames was arrested by Sheriff Strom and Chief of Police Nolan at the Great Northern station as the train arrived. He waived examination and was bound to the district court under a $500 bond. Officers found 21 pints of liquor in his effects during a search.

Citric Acid From Cull Lemons Solves Commercial Scale

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has solved commercial citric acid production from cull lemons. Citric acid made this way sold at a market price several cents higher. Orange pulp for marmalade and citrus peel preparation methods were developed but lost in a fibre-related disruption that affected the weekly newspaper.
