Resigned From Bank Gives Notice to Enlist
Charles G. Vikan, first assistant cashier of the Williams County State Bank, tendered his resignation and will soon be relieved to enter military service in Washington D C. He was private secretary to Seiistor A J Gronna before coming to Williston and earlier worked with Bot tineau National Bank and Bot tineau Land and Loan company. Last June he was elected treasurer of the Williston Special school district, and his departure is greeted with regret by friends in the "City of Opportunity."

Fallness Sentenced to Four Months for Dry Law Violation
Fargo March 13 D M Fallness pleads guilty to violating the bone dry law. Indicted by the last federal grand jury, he is sentenced to four months in Williams County jail at Williston. Fallness was brought to Fargo Sunday afternoon by Deputy U S Marshal C D Scott.

Draft Calls Begin March 29 for North Dakota Recruits
An adjutant general order directs 2,047 North Dakota registrants to report March 29 with equipment to arrive in April. If enlistments count, about 60 to go. if not, 80 Class 1 men.
