Better Farming special completes North Dakota circuit
The NP Better Farming special tour finished in North Dakota visiting 33 stations with farms greeted by gala towns and bands. Attendees included agricultural editors and railroad officials who praised crop conditions and high automobile turnout among farmers. Porter notes very little mustard due to thorough harrowing this spring. Dickinson Sub-station impressed visitors with crops. clover and Grimm alfalfa thick, winter wheat stands healthy and ready to head.

Dry Valley Weather and Local Happenings In Week
The valley remains very hot and dry with 98 degrees in the shade. G. H. McKay reports heavy activity hauling goods for his store, making four trips that week. E. O. Westcott attended 10 business in Wheelock Tuesday. Mrs. Bert Boots has been very ill for several days. W. C. Tatem visited from Williston Friday and took the school teacher home for institute. Dick Landers bought a fine young team from Jay Grantier last week. Marmon returned Friday after a vacation. Many breaking rigs laid off due to dryness. A commercial man rode a motorcycle here, broke down near town, and E. O. Westcott helped him to Banks and Schafer then back to Ray. Carl Norby, a hotel clerk, passed through Saturday toward his claim in McKenzie county. John A. McKay, working with railroad surveyors, came home Saturday.
