Howard North Dakota June 17 N Bar Bute two miles west of Howard is a landmark once tied to a cattleman and his N brand. Pioneer J Egge owns land nearby with a large barn planned. Neighbors include C J Simmons Albert Fisher Frank Larson and John O Roste. A new 29 by 26 foot schoolhouse rises with stone foundation. Wild Rose farm owned by Geo W Boyer features a well kept home and music by his local orchestra. A seven acre nursery east of Howard owned by Dan J Nero boasts thirty tree varieties. Two New School Directors Chosen in Willis ton District

Mrs. S. M. Hydle and E. B. Link were elected to the Willis ton Special School District Board of Education on Tuesday. Hydle won by 10 votes over LeRoy Smith. Link ran unopposed. Hydle 204 votes, Smith 194, total 398. Link swept all ballots. President C. C. Mackenroth did not seek re election.

Sudden Death of Mrs W B Scace Near Williston

The community mourns Mrs. W B Scace wife of pioneer W B Scace who died at home six miles southwest of Williston from heart trouble. Born March 8 1851 in Harrisburg Pa she lived in Illinois Town and Chicago before moving to Williston in 1902. Funeral held June 22 at her home with Rev Frank S Holl et t officiating and Masons in procession.
