Williston Women Asked to Alter Red Cross Shirts
Williston women with spare time are urged to modify 96 000 army shirts for the Red Cross Northern Division covering North and South Dakota and Montana. At Red Cross headquarters, workers must alter shirts within three weeks, including adding a front opening, removing and replacing collars, and adjusting cuffs, to convert existing shirts for soldiers.

County Jail Boarders Sparse Amid Reform Rumor
On Friday last the County Jail stood empty for the first time since 1906 as boarders became very scarce. The editor suggests a reform movement may be underway and notes the dry season and regional drought as possible factors. A push to attract inmates from surrounding counties is proposed to restore revenue.

Dinner guests at the Settle home shared a six oclock meal. Mrs Innis left for Wolf Point and was honored with gifts at a farewell party hosted by Mrs Albert Husebye.

Women Committee Meeting Encourages Nurse Reserve Enlistment
A meeting of the National Defence Women's Committee at I O O F Hall discussed future league work. Mrs F L Conklin urged women aged 19 to 35 to enroll in nursing training, noting a need for 25,000 nurses and outlining enrollment options in the United States Student Nurse Reserve and Army Nursing School. A recruiting office at 429 North Main Street will coordinate enrollments, with a second location to be announced.
