Black Trail Plan Faces Local Opposition and Debate
G B Wolf of the Auto Trail Blazing Association says Killdeer citizens favor routing the Black Trail through the Killdeer mountains national park, diverting from Watford City to Killdeer via Grassy Butte. Watford City businessmen oppose changes that hurt Mary and Grassy Butte, arguing Grassy Butte road serves fifty farmers to one. A compromise or northern cut off near Grassy Butte is considered. Wolf plans another inquiry. Also, Miss Gladys Hawley hosted a dancing party for guest Miss Nina Townsend of Williston at the Hawley home 918 Sixth Street South. ten couples attended.
