Child Watches Doctors Amputate Four Digits Without Anesthetic
An eight year old girl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. F. Shelley, underwent finger and toe removals Wednesday. Doctors Jones, Perkins, and Morris performed the operations in the latter’s Watford City office without anesthetic. The child, born with six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot, watched calmly as the procedures were carried out.

Former Resident Thorpe Dies By Own Action in Fairview
Fairview Tribune reports C. E. Thorpe, formerly of Williston, found dead in his studio with a deep throat wound. Sheriff and coroner's jury in Sidney rule death self-inflicted, noting possible depression over divorce and finances. Thorpe, English-born, had sister in Spokane and a brother in the British army. New Ferry Boat Planned for Eight Teams at Sanish
