Garden Valley reports Mr Baird celebrated the Fourth at Study. Delano residents Mr and Mrs Reider and son Henry visited for summer. John Hamilton and Randolph Reider couples vacationing in Montana. Five or six hundred people attended the Hedderich ranch picnic last Saturday after the event.

Embezzlement Charged In Ironwood Bank Failure
Three officers of the failed First National bank of Ironwood face embezzlement and falsification charges totaling about $200000. President H F Jahn, cashier T Larson, and assistant cashier George H Beddow were arrested after the bank with $600000 in deposits was closed by the state examiner. Larson and Beddow are held on bonds of $50000 and $10000 respectively, and all three were bound over for grand jury in Marquette on September 7.
