Trust is Hit in Senate Tariff Debate on Agricultural Implants
In Washington on June 26 the senate resumed consideration of the tariff bill with an amendment by Senator Bacon to place agricultural implements on the free list. Senator Stone of Missouri argued that the International Harvester Co. is a trust and monopoly, claiming it accounts for 85 percent of the industry and has merged firms, while Senator Davis of Arkansas cited state anti trust actions driving the company from Arkansas.

Four Die In Detroit Stove Factory Collapse
Four men killed when five floors of a Peninsular Stove Works building gave way in Detroit near noon. Panic among hundreds of workers ensued as the six story structure caved under stove storage. Fire followed but was controlled. rescuers combed the ruins. One victim was William Hollar, cousin of W. O. Hollar of this city.

Foul Play Story Cleared Up in North Dakota Case
Minot reports that Nic Montaine, a Russian missing for over two years, was seen within the last two years near his Sawyer area farm and again near Velva. W A Lyght, a prominent Sawyer farmer, says Montaine avoided contact and may have left of his own accord possibly to file on Canadian land. Authorities continue pursuing clues to resolve the old disappearance.
