Fleet of American battleships reaches Rio Janeiro
The American fleet of sixteen battleships entered Rio Janeiro harbor at 3 PM after a 4600 mile voyage from Port of Spain. Crowds cheered as tugs guided the ships to anchor while Admiral Evans and Brazilian officials welcomed the visitors aboard the Connecticut.

Aged Man Murdered in New Ulm Home
Chris Walker aged sixty five was found murdered at his North German street house six blocks from the business district. Police believe robbery was motive and note the killer may be familiar with the victim. a coroner's inquest says he was beaten and may have died from exposure after hours on the ground. The city council voted 500 for pursuing the culprit, with no clues identified.

N D Griswold spoke on dairying with herd yielding over 100 dollars per cow from cream. C W Hale spoke on sheep raising. Local institute to be organized.
