Charles A Ekstromer Swedish vice consul in St Louis drank prussic acid at his home 1244 Goodfellow avenue He had recent controversy with federal officials over an exequatur revocation by President Roosevelt and was later reinstated He left a death note and his stepdaughters found him at the library after music and conversation that evening He was 51 and also managed West Disinfectant Co on Olive Street He had no known financial troubles and family found no reason for the act
