Bells to ring from New York tower gallery
Westminster bells weighing seven tons will be hung on the forty sixth floor of the Metropolitan Life Building in New York City. The largest bell weighs 7000 pounds and is 70 inches wide, tuned to B flat and used for hours and choir. Other bells include E flat 3000 pounds F natural 2000 pounds and G 1500 pounds. Automatic clappers will strike quarter hours. The bells are to be rung at a height greater than any other peal. Scientific American. Dunkard Brethren services announced for next Sunday at 11 a.m. Rev Wood of the Christian church noted broad influence. Fifteen baptisms reported, with seven more last Sunday. A new church organized with thirty three members. The meeting closed Sunday night. prayers for continued success.
