Meet Sudden Death. Lightning claims two North Dakota lives

Fargo reports two more lightning fatalities in North Dakota. Grace Hoggarth, 12, died at a McHenry area barn where a bolt struck the roof and collapsed the structure as her two younger brothers were stunned. Charles Johnson of Oberon perished when lightning struck his barn cupola as four men sheltered inside. A separate strike at Bolette hit an Arenla elevator, quickly suppressed by firefighters, and near Cando a hired man and team were killed as lightning struck a farm.
