Carl Dahl a prosperous farmer living alone on his claim three miles north of Vandalia near Williston killed himself last Wednesday Aug 11 after leaving to buy a binder. An unfinished note cites a shaken hand and a guilty conscience. Coroner Thomas ruled it self destruction due to temporary insanity. 160 acres of grain stood ready to harvest. neighbors will tend the field. The sister Mrs. Peter Berg of Minot is the only known relative.

Boy killed by a horse near Stordahl farm
A seven year old boy, Helmer Nore, died after being dragged by a horse while leading it to water at his father Matt C. Nore’s farm near Stordahl. The rope around his waist apparently caused the tragedy as the horse started to run. He died after hours of suffering before Dr. Abplanalp arrived. Funeral held Wednesday at the Lutheran church near Stordahl. The family received community sympathy.

Lukens Runaway Buggy Crash Injures Family
Last Monday evening W B Lukens and wife with their baby rode in a buggy when the horse went mad near Bruegger avenue. The mare dashed into a milk wagon at Seventh Street, threw Mr Lukens, dragged him several rods, then veered into a ditch at Fourth Street West and piled occupants in a wrecked buggy. Mrs Lukens and the baby escaped with minor bruises.

New Branch Road From Bainville To Plentywood Planned

Eldridge Seriously Hurt by Rampaging Livery Horse
Last Sunday at Ambrose E L Eldridge of Eldridge and Son liverymen was struck by a horse, knocked down and trampled. Dr Pierson found a broken nose three broken ribs a kidney bruise and other serious injuries. Eldridge's condition was listed as very serious though recovery hoped. Sutherland received a hand injury in the incident.
