Great Northern wreck kills eleven and injures twelve
The Oriental Limited No. 1 derailed near Bartlett ND at 1 28 am. Eleven passengers died and twelve were seriously injured as fire consumed eight coaches. Unknowns perished in the wreckage while eleven named injured included Jones and Fodness. Relief train and hospital care provided. rail tampering suspected by Engineer Bergueson.

Judge Gives Probation to Depot Beer Solicitor
Rudolph Wurdelman of Churcis Ferry pleaded guilty before Judge Cowan to violating the prohibition law. He operated in the drug trade and solicited orders for beer then delivered cases to customers from the depot. The judge noted lack of knowledge of the prohibition breach and issued a sentence.
