Weers Farms and Dutch Maid donate semitrailer to Second Harvest
Weers Farms Inc and Dutch Maid Logistics donate a 2003 International semi tractor and 53 foot refrigerated trailer to the Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio. The gift expands the fleet to include its first semi tractor and trailer, aiding delivery to Crawford, Erie, Huron and Lorain counties and supporting nearly eight million pounds of food distributed annually. Sam Burrer, Dutch Maid Logistics VP of operations, says the donation is the right thing to do and expresses gratitude for the community impact.

Don Moore’s Marine art career spans Vietnam to Beirut
Don Moore, Willard High School alumnus, joined the Marines after junior year and became an artist in the corps. He later served as a drill instructor at Parris Island and drew military scenes during Vietnam, Beirut bombing aftermath, and beyond. Moore spent 22 and a half years in uniform, then established an art studio in Killeen, Texas.
