Harvest Day brings early settler life to local students

South Central Local Schools held Harvest Day at Camp Conger for sixth year, with Cathy Dahl steering activities for third and fourth graders. Students toured seven stations depicting 1800s life in Ohio, including making apple butter over a fire led by Ben Chaffee and tasting the fresh product.

Village council okays second reading on water rate hike

North Fairfield votes 4-1 to raise water rates from five to five dollars and fifty cents per thousand gallons and to bill both owners and tenants to curb delinquencies.
