Bronc Rider Fatally Injured At Bonham Rodeo
Wayne Louks 34, a Gordon Nebraska bronc rider, died after a saddle bronc riding accident during the 1948 Fannin County Fair rodeo in Bonham. He was thrown when the bronc stumbled, head injuries caused his death 15 minutes after hospital transport. Louks had finished his ride and was in the finals when the tragedy occurred.
