Tadpoles Drive For Scoring Play In Fourth Quarter
In a muddy game the Tadpoles recovered a fumble by The Kittens and then moved 46 yards for a touchdown before a blocked extra point. Charles Copeland carried for pay dirt earlier as The Kittens fumbled on a kickoff return.

Band Day Trip Brings Four Local Boys to Austin
Four local boys Dan Hennig Jimmy Clark Billy Tillett and Don Wood attended the Band Day convention in Austin on November 12. They traveled from Whitewright with Billy Tillett’s grandparents Mr and Mrs J O Wallace and stayed with the Wallaces son in law and daughter Mr and Mrs Bobby Fleming. The group toured the University of Texas campus Saturday morning while Mr Fleming attended classes. The highlight was a free Texas versus T C U football game for Band Day with over 10 000 band members in attendance.

Sixth Grade Expands to Thirty Five Members at Pilot Grove

Courses include Young Citizen history writing science spelling reading geography art and English. During Fire Prevention Week students examined home safety and wrote themes titled Fire Dangers Around My Home.
