Local Orchid Grower Wins Big at Dallas Show
Joe T. Meador, a local orchid grower, exhibited plants at the International Orchid Show in Dallas from November 4 to 6. He earned four first places for excellent blossoms and received an award of merit from the American Orchid Society. Second and third places were also awarded to his plants. One oncidium grande earned a special ribbon as best of its type. Orchids came from Hawaii England Holland California Florida Oklahoma and Texas.
