Streamlined Texas Special Due May 16
The streamlined Texas Special on the Katy-Frisco lines will start daily service between St Louis and San Antonio on May 16. The train uses 4000 horsepower diesel electric engines and cuts current St Louis to Fort Worth by 3 hours 25 minutes and to San Antonio by 4 hours 5 minutes. Cars include six sleeping cars and a dining car. no curtained berths. through sleeping car service to the East to be announced later.

Moth Chewing Sounds Preserved by Cornell Scientists
In Ithaca Cornell University researchers recorded the sound of a moth chewing cloth for an advertising client selling mothballs. The team previously released a 72-bird-song album and now produced eight sides featuring 26 frog and toad calls. To time the moth chewing they sewn the larva in a cloth sack and let it chew out, likening the noise to corn flakes. The piece ends noting the only tomb of an unknown Revolutionary War soldier is in Bethlehem Pennsylvania.
