Rabid Dog Killed Saturday Near Town
A stray dog that bit a local dog and was known to bite another nearby was killed Saturday by residents Jess Lumkins and Joe Miller. The city head sent the head to the State Laboratories in Austin where a positive rabies result was received. Lumkins was advised to confine his dog for observation, and officials plan a campaign to remove unclaimed dogs. O V Barker will vaccinate dogs brought to him with owner supplied serum.

Fort Worth retired Southern Baptist missionary Rev. E. O. Mills, about 70, will speak at Kentuckytown Baptist Church on Sunday May 9 in morning and evening services. A fifth grade class at Fanny Finch school sang April Showers as a tornado swept 20 miles through McKinney and nearby communities Princeton and Merit. Three people died and 82 were injured. Principal Eddins rescued smaller children as windows shattered and he injured his hand.

Farmers Aid Pilot Plots In Grayson County Experiment

Fort Worth resident George Stephens age 75 died Friday. He signed a 1944 contract with a funeral home to deliver his own funeral oration via a recorded disk played in the chapel. The agreement included turning his body over to the University of Texas Medical School at Galveston for scientific use. He prepaid all expenses.
