Two-a-day workouts for the 1969 Tiger football team started Monday with about 30 hopefuls. Sessions run 7 to 9 a.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Head Coach Clyde McMurray says the focus is on easing soreness to improve movement this week.

Whitewright Riding Club leads a Color and Pageantry parade in Wolfe City on August 21 at 5 00 p.m. as part of a three night rodeo presented by Wolfe City Riding Club Inc. over 500 riders, the Wolfe City Band directed by Everett Holloway, and honorary parade marshal U S Congressman Ray Roberts will appear.
Clyde Robinson delivered the first white hybrid corn load under a guaranteed price plan of 1.50 per bushel as North Texas growers plant and harvest the 1969 white corn crop. The program, coordinated by Falk O-Pep with the Texas Research Foundation, paid about 300000 last year and aims to boost area cash crops with fertilizer and proper management.
