First Baptist Church names VBS workers
The Wellington Leader reports that First Baptist Church will run Vacation Bible School from June 13 to 17, 9 to 11:30 a.m. Rev. Johnny Tims leads as pastor with Stephanie Martin as director and a large team handling promotion, transportation, supplies, recreation, and age group teachers for four to fifth grade children.

Dodson Nazarene VBS Week Runs June 13 17 Involves Balloon Launch
The Dodson Church of Nazarene will hold Vacation Bible School June 13 to 17 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. for ages 2 to 13 with a musical under Eloette Camp Henson. A balloon launch on June 14 at 11:15 a.m. in downtown Dodson will enclose releasee details and a scripture verse. balloons have traveled up to 100 miles in past launches. The week ends with a Sunday service on June 19 featuring the children's memorized verses.

The National Guard camp runs June 11 to 25 with elite status for Co. E, 2nd Bn, 42nd Infantry. A Salt Fork River Pioneer Park fireworks display is planned for July 4 sponsored by Collingsworth County Museum with crowds at Pioneer Park and Salt Fork. Wellington artist Burl Brim receives a reception and a painting exhibit through August. Wellington Ex-students gather August 6 with numerous class reunions. August features the Loco Arlie and Indian Creek/Pritchard reunions, rodeo August 19–20, a Bluegrass Festival and Peanut Festival August 26–27 in Pioneer Park and courthouse area.

Seniors Enjoy Mexican Fiesta At Pioneer Park May 20 1994
The Wellington Senior Class held a Mexican supper and games at Pioneer Park on May 20 1994 with hosts Victor Garza and others. Enchiladas rice beans and desserts were served as seniors and host families enjoyed pinata Mexican Bingo and prizes donated by parents. Ice cream and cake closed the evening with a “Congratulations Class of 94” message.
