Local man pursues wind power venture in Wellington area
Jacen Jeffrey, a West Texas Engine Co. worker from Wellington, builds and installs a 5000 watt wind system on his home, using NASA design propellers and a tall self erecting 80 foot tower. The system starts at 8 mph, peaks near 18 mph, and auto shuts at 38 mph, with power metering that runs backwards when generation exceeds consumption.
