Wooster University approves contracts for new buildings
At a trustees meeting in the university library plans for a science hall chemical laboratory and an academic building were approved. L. Holden of New York and Nimmons & Fellows of Chicago submitted the plans. Contracts will be let soon with occupation aimed for September. Ground for both buildings was broken Tuesday morning.

Several Small Fires Reported Around Town
Fire crews were called Friday for a roof blaze behind the Herald office at W J Athey’s building but it was extinguished before arrival. A second fire on a tenement roof owned by J M Carroll was put out with a chemical extinguisher after a summons. Saturday a minor blaze on West Liberty Street owned by Newt Beard was extinguished without help from the department. Mae Elam Smith residence on East South Street was damaged by fire to about $20 last Sunday night. neighbors helped extinguish it without an alarm.

Death of George S. Catten in Nova Scotia in 1925
George S. Catten died in Halifax on March 5 after a short illness from heart disease. A former Wooster resident for thirteen years, he moved to Nova Scotia three years ago to establish a business. Born September 29, 1884 in Onslow, he was 67 years old. He left a wife, three daughters Amy Carrie and Mrs Harvey Geiselman, and a son Charles of Beaver Falls, Pa. Funeral was held March 8 at Onslow with burial there.
