A Tuesday Archer House meeting reelected Mr Thorne director for the coming year as F M Webster entomologist extended his resignation to March 31.

Fire destroys farm house south of Wooster
A farm house owned by Mrs. Lawrence Keefe and occupied by Wm Franks and family near Wooster was totally destroyed by fire Saturday night. The family lost almost all their household goods and clothing. The fire is believed to have started from a defective flu. Mrs. Keefe carried a small building insurance while contents were insured for 250 dollars.

Death of H R Blackburn After a Week’s Illness
Hamilton R Blackburn aged five years seven months and three days died at home N Bever street Monday March 3 from pneumonia after a week illness. He was born in Wooster son of James Blackburn of Wayne county a wagon maker by trade and late a bartender at the Faber saloon. He served as a guard in Ohio penitentiary and was a member of the decennial board of equalization. Surviving relatives include two nephews Albert and James Scoby of Wooster. Funeral was Wednesday from the residence with interment in Worcester county.

Death of Former Resident Frank Kennedy in Wooster
A former Wooster resident, Frank Kennedy, employed by Plank & Gray, died Friday from fatal internal injuries after a timber struck his abdomen while sawing pickets last week. He was buried in New Cumberland, Tuscarawas County, last Sunday.
