J W Hostetler is appointed postmaster at Orrville while Odell's Lake sees heavy ice cutting and Wooster reports telephone repairs after storm damage. Other notes mention a sun eclipse on March 16, court cases, deaths, divorces, and public notices across Alliance Canton and Seville.
George Murray pleaded guilty to daylight burglary and was fined $25 plus costs, with commitment to the Cleveland work house until paid. Samuel Fox bound over to court for assault and battery on M Swartz, with preliminary hearing before Squire Wise at Shreve last Monday.
A laborer at a Sonar site in Medinai County was seen near a sawmill when an accident occurred. He died a few hours later from his injuries.

Ten suits filed in Mt. Vernon by African American plaintiffs under civil rights law over denied entry at the Pavillion Roller Skating Rink were heard by Justice Atwood. All cases were compromised and dismissed. rink owners paid all costs and 73 dollars, with 75 dollars given to the African Methodist Church pastor for church use.
Wooster readers will see Chas A Gardner in at the Cowra House next Monday evening in the new comedy Karl the Peddler. Gardner brings a full company and promises lively entertainment with his famed voice and humor. Reserved tickets at 50 cents are on sale at Speer’s news depot.
