A Canton area house warming by S P Downing ends in joy as neighbors celebrate the new home built by Benjamin Waterstein. Last Saturday Rev. George Mather performed the ceremony at the American House in Wooster joining C. N. Cassell and Miss Lucy Snyder of Doylestown as husband and wife.

In Wooster reports say three Arabians once begged there and were aided East by Township Trustees. Last Friday they were jailed at White Plains New York. one carried ten thousand dollars in English gold coin. Also noted in East Union Township a widow asked 441 loaves of bread 603 pies 27 gallons of cookies and 32 large cakes for a large family of eight with three absent most of the year.
Nineteen of twenty three Wooster telephone lines were out after last Friday and Saturday. A main square pole broke. wires to Exch were tangled like a spider web. Lines to Mansfield and Massillon were down. County commissioners planned a tre inspection of a proposed ditch but bad weather postponed the meeting to Monday the 26th.
Medina County officials at a special meeting approved sheep claims for Hiram Fisher, D R Weiand, T M King, Eli Forrer, Thos Armstrong, E Blanchard, Samuel Saurer, H M Huntsberger, Henry Claus, Henry Hestand, M J Carroll and others. The Medina County grand jury returned indictments including murder second degree for Wm Rex and John Rex, burglary and larceny for Chas Richards, assault and battery for J M Overholt, liquor-law violations for G P Gochner and Huffman T Warren, reform farm orders for A J Wilson and A W Wilson, and petit larceny for C Steiner.
J B Henderson jailed in Canton for forgery is wanted in eight Ohio counties. He forged notes for 143 dollars on Wm Kiefler of Marshallville 92 dollars on P Feitz of Sterling and sold them to Samuel H Miller of Doylestown. He offered 72 dollars on Peter Buehl of Chippewa and 65 dollars on David Wagner of Baughman township.
Ella H Crabbe a pre collegiate student at the University of Wooster died of typhoid fever in his room at Joseph Heetingers North Buckeye street last Tuesday morning aged 17. His mother resided in Nevada Ohio and had planned to move to Wooster next spring to be with him while he studied. A brother is in the University Junior class and another is a graduate. The remains were sent to Nevada for interment.
