Obituary for E I Norris Local church leader and deacon dies
E I Norris born September 5 1843 died May 18 1933 age 89 years 8 months 13 days. He married Mary E K Norris January 22 1868 and had five children. Survived by widow and four children. He joined Meat Camp Baptist Church February 3 1881 later helped form Howards Creek Church August 19 1882 serving as deacon clerk for 21 years and as sexton about 40 years. The church and community mourn his loss and extend sympathy to family. A committee notes he fought a good fight finished the course kept the faith and awaits a crown of righteousness.
