Adults Leave For Deserted Isle In South Pacific
Richard Ault his wife Lois and their 3 year old Tracy plan a yearlong isolation on an uninhabited Pacific island. They will travel by car to the West Coast then fly to Hawaii and to Pago Pago American Samoa before selecting Rose Island or other uninhabited isles to live without outside contact. They aim to learn primitive living skills build huts and a dugout canoe and keep diaries for a possible book. They carry minimal food medical supplies and gear including a shortwave radio transmitter but no receiver.
