Franchise to lay electric lines sought in Washington County
The Iowa Southern Utilities Company of Delaware Centerville Iowa petitions the Iowa State Commerce Commission for a franchise to erect use and maintain poles wires guy wires towers cables and fixtures to transmit electricity up to 2300 volts. The project would cross public lands highways streams and private lands in sections 26 34 35 33 and 13 of townships 75 N 9 W and 75 N 8 W near the city of Washington as described beginning at the northwest corner of the SW quadrant of section 26 and extending to the west corporate limit of Washington.
