Auction for Wellman Recreation Center Roof Fix
Rain drenches the Wellman Recreation Center as a community auction raises funds for a new metal roof. Proceeds exceed $900 from items including a 1962 Ford Galaxie, antiques, furniture, and crafts, with more donations hoped to cover the $1,665 roof cost. Volunteers, Boy Scouts, and local youth organized and contributed, while the auctioneer Swartzendruber staged a skating finale to boost totals.
