On the Milwaukee Limited No 5 near Washington Iowa a stork arrival prompted a train delay while a mother baby and nurse, aided by a doctor and passengers, brought a newborn to the world. The infant died en route. the mother and relatives were identified only as local travelers from Chicago to Kansas City.
