Schwengel Battles Burke Hartke Trade Curbs in Kalona
Congressman Fred Schwengel urged the Kalona Optimist Club to oppose the Burke Hartke trade bill. He warned it would impose import quotas, deter overseas investment, curb licensing of US patents abroad, and raise consumer prices while costing American jobs and risking a trade war.
