Final primary results will be submitted to the Secretary of State Melvin Synhorst for official completion.

Turner defends his anti gaming moves
In Des Moines UPI reports Attorney General Richard Turner urged a federal panel to dismiss a bid to block his crackdown on midway games at county fairs. Representing the Association of Iowa Fairs, John McClintock argued for an injunction to halt further raids until Iowa’s gambling laws are reviewed by the state Supreme Court. Turner asserted state immunity and lack of federal jurisdiction, saying the suit seeks redress for property losses rather than personal liberty. McClintock testified that 70 percent of fair attendance comes from midway games, warning that banning them could financially devastate fairs.
