County TB Hospital bond plan eyed by Gogebic officials
Gogebic County trustees seek about 125000 to prepare the hospital for patient reception and ongoing operations. Of this, 70000 would fund yearly maintenance, 5000 for grounds, 20000 for furnishings, 10000 water system, 4000 X-ray, 16000 to finish building. A 50000 bond proposal and tax levy may be used to cover part of the cost. The finance committee laid its report aside for future action, noting the project could burden county finances and families needing care. Water supply work to begin soon with leases secured from Oliver Mining Co.. reservoir details to follow.

Contract set for sinking new shaft Ramsay project
New York firm awarded the sinking contract for Oglebay Norton Co. at Ramsay. The vertical shaft to 210 feet, 100 feet east of Blak river, near Northwestern railway, will take two years. A 2400 foot shop and central plant will be built south of the tracks. Access via a decked tunnel under the tracks. Lake shipments total near 10 million tons, with Gogebic district shipments around 8 million tons this season.
