Michigan Sees 1500 Cars Change Hands Daily
More than 1,500 automobiles change hands each day in Michigan, says Charles J. Deland, secretary of the state. About 1,000 new certificates and a similar number of transfers are issued daily, with duplicates making the total about 1,500 deals. The office is catching up, with titles and transfers issued the day received. Roughly 200,000 1923 licenses remain to be issued, many of them in the northern counties where cars are stored for winter.
